What Happens in a Session?

My sessions offer a unique individual experience that is relaxing, gentle, and safe for all.

When you meet me for the first time we will go through a consultation process, where we will discuss a series of questions and complete a consent form. Be assured I am obligated to respect your confidentiality, be considerate of your needs, and answer any of your questions.  Your safety and comfort are always my main consideration.  If at any time during the session you have any concerns you should let me know.

What to wear for your Reiki treatment:

  • Comfortable, loose clothing
  • Shoes that are easily removable Long hair should be pulled back for access to the neck

You will lie on a treatment table, fully clothed, with soft music playing in the background. This is your session and can be tailored to your needs. Treatments can also be done in a treatment chair.  Your comfort and needs are always the main consideration. Please note that for Acusound healing and Deep Relaxation Therapy you are required to lie on a couch for maximum benefit.

Before I start the therapy I will inform you that I’m going to start. I will guide you to take three deep breaths and place my hands above or lightly touching specific areas called chakras, places in the body where the energy flows through. This is never intrusive.  It is at this stage that people usually begin to feel the stress lifting. It is a wonderful experience and for most the effects are immediate while others may not notice anything for a few days. The more open you are the more intense your experience will be.

If you are having problems in specific areas I can concentrate more energy to that area. Healing energy always goes where it is needed most whether it is mental, physical or spiritual.

Most of my clients have reported that they felt calm, relaxed, and sometimes even tingly during their sessions and felt weights on different parts of the body.  They always look forward to their next session. Healing energy is relaxing but you cannot assume that each session will be the same, every person is different and every treatment experience will be different.
